The Tortilla - Kingston

Great restaurant. Very delicious and tasty food and drinks. We happened to be the only customers at the time, the staff was really friendly and food came out quick. We got chips and guacamole, carne asada burrito, chicken quesadilla, 4 tacos, and 3 different drinks. Bill came to $90 before tip. I love the decorations and the prices were great. Only complaint was the bathroom was a little meh. Overall though I highly recommend!

The staff is amazing along with the margaritas. For great Mexican food this is the place to go!!

They are fast and delicious. It’s our go-to spot. We call and order at least once a week!Vegetarian options: They have vegan cheese, and multiple (often 3) veggie options!

I confess The Tortilla Taco Bar was not our destination. But at 7:00pm on a Tuesday night in August, with only one other open restaurant in walking distance along Broadway (and a 45 minute wait there) we dropped in here. The menu is less inclusive than most casual Mexican places...burritos, tacos, quesadillas, tortas, rice bowls, salads and vampiros (tortillas). The interior space is fairly loud and evokes the feel of a diner more than a restaurant, but we ate outdoors at the metal tables in front, on Broadway. I suspect that on a busy night in the waterfront district it would be fairly loud outdoors too, but maybe that's one of the things that attracts the customers in the first place. There's a good selection of Mexican spirits and beers, and a few (non Mex) wines. The service was attentive. I had a Cubano torto that oddly was hot on one side and barely warm on the other. And although it had good flavor I found it a bit dry and the bread a little stale. My partner had a quesadilla which she liked very much. It's not fancy but the food seems authentic and for most menu items you can choose your ingredients to your own tastes. Go with reasonable expectations and there's a good chance you'll be satisfied. Oh, and it seems to be a woman-run operation, although I didn't see into the kitchen.
