True Texas Bbq - KINGWOOD

I've been all.over texas looking for good bar b q. Up untill a few months ago the best place was tin roof, but tin roof was hit or miss. We were looking for new bar b q places on google maps and true texas had good reviews. I became skeptical because it was in heb and my mind I thought no way will this place be good I'm a grocery store. Their fatty brisket is by far the best place I've had in texas. The bark is amazing and flavorful. The Turkey breast is always moist and delicious I havnt had a time where it was dried out. The brisket beans are really good also. Since discovering this place we havnt been back to tin roof this is our go to.

About to start a grocery run, I was lured in by a delicious looking baked potato ? sign. Then, I had some internal conflict on whether to get that or the pulled pork sandwich ? ? at a low $4.69. (More signage ? Go with your instincts,” they said, and I did. There was no remorse. I tackled this giant, loaded, ATW papa like it was my last meal. After devouring all the good stuff, I ripped some of the sea salted skin off the potato and dunked it in BBQ sauce and was quite satisfied. Hey, it’s not fancy but this place is not trying to be. I really enjoyed this impromptu lunch!Shoutout to the gentleman at the counter (paw paw vibes for his friendly demeanor and customer service ?

Really love the food here. Everything tastes fresh and amazing.Indoor Cafe is clean and spacious, but aside from that the noise from the store itself makes conversation difficult, so atmosphere gets a ding for noise but that's really it!
