Bidra med feedbackWe are huge Dough Zone fans but the quality control of this location has gone extremely downhill. As vegetarians, we need to have confidence that when we order vegetable dumplings, the dumplings will actually be vegetarian. Unfortunately, the quality control is so horrible that one basket of dumplings will be labeled as vegetable and be HALF meat and HALF vegetable! and you can't even see inside the dumpling so how are you supposed to know unless you open up each dumpling to investigate? This happened about 5 times in a row and after that we simply stopped going to this location.
If you're not vegetarian the place has great food. Every friend and family member I've taken there has loved it.VEGETARIANS BEWARE: If you're vegetarian everything that doesn't have the V sign by it has chicken powder in it. It's not listed anywhere. So you have very few options in total. A pancake, a noodle and a dessert. Literally no dumplings you can have. Really disappointing.
Nothing vegan is worth eating. They don't care about their vegan customers. Dan Dan noodles, veggie dumplings everything that used to be vegan is not anymore and management doesn't care about trying to introduce more vegan dishes. Don't bother going. In the age where more restaurants are trying to expand their vegan friendly menus, Dough zone just cares about their bottom line and serving substandard food with no regards for dietary restrictions.
They changed their menu and removed all the vegetarian options. Previously noodles and dumplings had vegeratian option and now they have decided to add chicken powder even for veg dumpling.
Overall it's fine. It tastes good and has a good selection with a pretty nice atmosphere. Service was also good. But it's just a din tai fung but for bao. Commercialized and reliable but ultimately a bit disappointing when you've had more authentic stuff in the University or international district. I wouldn't come back unless it was a social thing. I would enjoy myself and my friends but deep down I'd know there is better elsewhere. The spicy glass noodles were awesome though. I just don't go to a dumpling place for noodles
