Sirena Gelato - Kirkland

Definitely not Italian Gelato and not even particularly good ice cream. I had an afogato and the hazelnut ice-cream was gummy with huge ice crystals. See photo. Like something that had thawed and refrozen. I came here years ago and the Gelato was great then but I don't think I will be back.

So sad that they changed the vendor or recipe! We've been monthly regulars for years, was shocked to see that all the gelato looked different, and wow, the taste is nothing at all like it used to be. The flavors I had that were icy, gummy, and almost no flavor. Used to be so smooth, creamy and full of flavor. Please sirena, bring back the old stuff! It used to be so perfect!

Sirena gelato was our go to ice cream place, had been going there for 10 years. But completely disappointed with it now. We loved there pistachio and this time it didi have not a single nut in, no flavor at all. Ice cream had no flavour and was very icy when it used to be smooth and creamy with lots of flavor. It felt watered down and had sorbet texture, without any flavor. We went back and asked them what happened to their smooth, creamy and delicious ice cream and they said we changed the vendor and tried a new one and that what they have to offer now. Icy, overpriced and tasteless. Save your money, there are better options out there.

We went there with or daughter/husband/ 2 small children. Everyone enjoyed their desserts tremendously! The little almost 2-yr-old had played TOO HARD at the park, so he slept right thru our visit!!

They have some wonderful flavors. I don't like every flavor but you might like them. The gelato is perfectly made. Unless they have a summer line out the door, service is pretty fast. It is located perfectly in downtown Kirkland so it's easy to grab some gelato and walk the waterfront.
