Colne Valley Garden Centre - Kirklees

I first started going to CVGC 15 years ago. We used to take the residents from CVRH for lunch were we were always very welcomed and had some terrific times. Me and my wife used to also visit often to buy our gardening equipment etc and was always impressed with the quality and variety at the Centre. When we had our first child we took him up to see the pigs/fish and rabbits and had lunch in the cafe. We loved it! They did a Dance class which 2 of my little munchkins attended and it was just brilliant. It then became a regular outing for the family and we bought some beautiful fish that we had at home. We buy our Xmas tree every year. The staff at CVGC became family to us and we are so grateful to them. We unfortunately stopped going through lockdown and came back for a visit today with our 3rd boy and it was so lovely to go back. They were a few new friendly faces and they were very helpful Angela, Amelia and Bradley) aswell as a few familiar faces I remember Shirley, Karen) They have made some big changes and it's looking very clean, light and there is lots of excellent equipment. The cafe was very clean and comfortable and the food was fantastic and tasty. We will certainly be going again and it was worth my time writing this review. I must say I have just read some of the comments below and I just want to say. I have known the owner and staff many years and I know we are all different people with different personalities and some of us find it easy to talk and communicate like me I mean look at the size of this post) but others don't find it as easy which may come across as rude but it really is just a perspective and as I say I have known the owner and staff many years and they are genuinely kind, honest and helpful people who always do their best. Thank you CVGC for the Marvelous Memories we will treasure forever...

The Food was nice but one member of staff went out side to pick a dog bowl up she took it in side rinsed it in sink, fill it with water took it out for the dog then didn't wash her hands and went straight to cut some victoria sponge and mess around with other things, this is totally uunacceptable !!!!!!!!go there at your will. wash yor hands staff

Called into Colne Garden centre for the first time and had a lovely cooked breakfast in the restaurant, we also purchased a couple of items a garden reclining chair and a wooden garden arch that needed dismantling so we could get it into the car, the staff were extremely helpful even carrying our items to the car for us. I have read negative reviews on Trip advisor and I can honestly say we had a very pleasant experience and will definitely go again.

The cafe is welcoming with delicious food, clean and well-presented. They are dog-friendly with outside seating, making it a good value for money option.

The service at this restaurant is exceptional from the moment you arrive until your food is delivered. The quality of the food is excellent. The garden swing is a unique feature that adds to the overall experience. The staff are incredibly helpful and professional, going out of their way to ensure everything is sorted. I highly recommend this restaurant.
