Spice Cottage Heckmondwike - Kirklees

This restaurant experience was terrible. Not only did we receive the wrong order, but when we called to inquire about it, we were treated rudely and the phone was slammed down on us. Apparently, a chicken tikka kebab doesn't come with naan or pita bread - it was just chicken on chips. This happened to us before about a year ago, but we decided to give them another chance. They won't be getting a third chance from us.

Been here numerous times and foods always been amazing. The best fish pakoras ever! Staff are also super friendly. Will be back again.

Just ordered a pizza, chips and korma which arrived clap cold. Rang them and they said they can’t guarantee hot food!? Is that not what you order a takeaway for? Surely if it’s going to be cold when it gets to you, it shouldn’t be delivered so far. Nowhere on the website did it say they didn’t guarantee it to be warm or I would not have ordered!! Also found a short black hair cooked into the pizza. ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE. Would not recommend!!!!

I will keep it simple, the half filled mango chutney tubs and watered down yoghurt sauce didn't start us out well. Starters.... bad. Main course...bad. Never had a take away this bad in 40 years. Summary... bland, no flavour.

Really bad, such a shame as we’ve been using Spice Cottage for years. It has been dwindling for a couple of years now but last nights takeout was really disappointing. Around 3 pieces of donner meat in a small pitta for £5!! Everything else over cooked. Wish it could go back to the old Spice Cottage but think that was the last time we will be ordering from Spice Cottage again.
