Overblikk - Kirkwall

The restaurant is situated in a spacious upper area that offers a magnificent view of the harbor. The tomato puff soup was incredible! The fish and chips were wonderfully prepared. The cheeseboard had a great presentation. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable. Although the service started off slow, it improved as we continued our meal.

Eating here was amazing! the personal was friendly, we sat in a standing at the window above with a great view of the harbour. we also had a crippled pink mojito (mojito with cranberry juice) cocktail, which was also beautiful. we had to start the Cumin-Cauliflower halloumi fries and then fish and chips for the main. the fish and chips were fantastic!

This is a nice pub situated in a beautiful location. The food is of good quality and there are many locals who frequent the place. It's best to make a reservation, as it can get busy. Unfortunately, they also did not have any non-alcoholic beer available for us.

The dining experience was excellent, featuring great food and delightful drinks. However, what stood out the most was the amazing staff. They were incredibly friendly and open-minded. We hadn't made a reservation, so we ended up sitting at the bar for dinner. Then, a customer at a nearby table mentioned he'd prefer to enjoy his beer at the bar. The staff quickly picked up on our desire to move, and made it happen for us. I truly appreciate when the staff in a pub is so attentive!

Emailed to book a table in advance, would highly recommend doing this as they get fully booked. We arrived a bit early so ended up having a drink at the bar, that wasn't an issue and they added it to our final bill. I tried the salt and chilli squid for a starter and then the haggis burger for main, it was really tasty and filling. Although the view overlooking the harbour is stunning, sadly we were at the back of the room so couldn't see it but it's in a great location. Free parking is also available just outside.
