Cora Breakfast & Lunch - Kitchener

This was my first time at Cora's and I cannot say I'm too happy with itIt wasn't so much the service that was bad but the food was horrible.

Food was excellent hospitality was far from it Our sever was very sweet and professional ; unfortunately she appeared to be the only one.

I have never once in my life waited an hour for foodUntil today.

I visited this location twice in a week and had a good meal, however our table experienced inconsistency in answers from the kitchen regarding the gluten free options. For example, the buckwheat pancakes on our first visit we were told were gluten free which they are however they are prepared on the same grill as other items... which raises cross-contamination concerns. On our second visit we were told due to the severity of the allergy in question we wouldnt be able to order it. (we had ordered it the day prior with the fact that it was prepared on the same grill not disclosed to us and assuming since it was posted as gluten free in the menu that the restaurant would take action to prepare it safely.I would suggest one of two things, Cora's should implement a gluten free food preparation guide for franchisees, and implement measures to reduce the risk of cross-contam.Second, if this is not possible, please ensure staff is consistent in stating that the food is prepared on the same grillling surface as the rest of the items... (smart idea would be a cast iron pan for gf items)I am a fan of making gluten free items available on menus but please only say they are if you can prepare them properly... (toast in seperate toaster, etc)

The first thing I can say is wow if you have lots of money fine but 10 bucks for egg salad sandwich waffles for $13 Plus I've been to a lot of restaurants but never seen prices like this for breakfast I would never come back here matter of fact the only thing I had was a glass of water I'd rather eat at McDonald's or wait till I get back to the States I could have went to Red Lobster and had an outstanding dinner for much less than this place they must have a mortgage payment due
