Jersey Mike's Subs - Kitchener

It was are fifth visit. Again awesome subs we can't get a nuff of this place. Great value for the buck. Welcome to Canada. See you soon.

Went there picked up a large original Italian sub done up Mike's way. It was the best Italian sub I have ever eaten in my life freshly sliced cheese freshly sliced meat fresh tomatoes and lettuce and done up Mike's way totally outstanding definitely a five star rated sub and large enough to feed at least two hungry men with one sub. The atmosphere excellent the staff friendly and very helpful just a total great experience and someone entertaining with the staff when they're making up your sub price is very fair for the quality which surpasses many other sub shops is well worth the money that you pay. You're you're getting a great value and a great product for your money.

My first trip there and I got the big sized "Original Italian".. I was barely able to finish half of it (about 7 inches) The veggies are so fresh and the meat and cheese was sliced AFTER I ordered. Nothing sitting out getting gross! It was the best sub I have ever had in my life and I have had plenty.The staff were wonderfully funny and friendly. I will definitely be going back, but will get the half size next time.If you are tired of the same old sub routine, go see these folks. :)Oh, and...Subway needs to hang it's collective head in shame.

My wife and I were looking for a place to eat on our drive back home from London. We pulled off in Kitchener and when we saw a Jersey Mikes Sub sign, there was no decision to be made. Jersey Mikes Subs is fantastic.Our first experience with Jersey Mikes Subs was in Florida in St. Petersburg. We would eat there almost every day on our two week vacations in November. The one in Kitchener did not spoil our memories of the fantastic subs we had come to known. They are all good. Making them "Mikes Way" is the way to go. I can only hope we get a franchise opened in Oshawa/Whitby area. The manager JD was fantastic.

Quite frankly, I love Subway subs because they're fresh and tasty and I think they're hard to beat. But when someone who used to work at Subway told me how awesome this place was ("You'll never go to Subway again!" she said), my wife & I had to try it out.We found the staff friendly and welcoming but, as one reviewer already observed, they were enthusiastic almost to the point of being annoying. When we asked how things worked here, we were shown the hot & cold sub choices but were assured that we could request changes if necessary.We finally decided to split a large Original Italian Sub. Unlike at Subway, there was only one choice of bread. The meat and cheese are freshly cut on the spot. Toppings are really limited, which can be a good thing if you're choice-challenged. In our case, the server recommended a "Mike's Way" topping combo and we readily accepted since it was our first time. Must confess I was a little alarmed at the way they doused the sub with the red wine vinegar & olive oil dressing though!Since I wasn't that hungry, I asked them to cut the sub into thirds so that I could eat one-third and my wife could have the rest. They refused, saying they always cut a large sub into quarters. Hmmm, okay...Then I asked them not to bother wrapping it up but to just leave it on the wrapping paper so I could carry it over to our table that way. Again they refused, saying they had to wrap it. Unfortunately, the server had trouble wrapping it properly and ended up making a bit of a mess of it. Which turned out even worse when we tried to unwrap it.The sub itself tasted great. More meat than on a Subway sub, but you pay more for it too. Did it make a difference that the meat and cheese were freshly cut? We honestly didn't think so.So in summary, good but slightly over-enthusiastic service, good food at a higher price and with much more limited choices in terms of bread & toppings, and an attitude that you can have your sub any way you want... as long as it's Mike's way :)Not enough to pull me away from Subway anytime soon, but definitely worth trying.
