Bidra med feedbackThe staff and service were fantastic. The chutney and onions they served were outstanding. I had heard great things about this restaurant and was eager to give it a try. The korma was delicious, but I found the large pieces of chicken to be lacking in flavor; they didn’t seem to have cooked in the korma itself. Additionally, they were somewhat bland and a bit tough, almost as if they were added at the last moment.
This is my favorite go-to spot in town. The atmosphere is charming and comfortable, and the staff is excellent. The food is consistently delicious, and the menu provides enough detail about each dish, making it easy for first-time visitors or those unfamiliar with Indian cuisine to feel at ease. I highly recommend trying the Samosa Chat—it's a delightful bowl of Mumbai street food goodness that you won't regret!
I wish I could rate Aroma higher, but my lamb Korma was disappointing. It contained only about six small pieces of lamb, while the rest of the large bowl was filled with an excessive amount of curry, resembling more of a soup than a dish. I had to dig through to find more meat, only to come up empty-handed. The flavor was good, but I wasn’t expecting soup; the lamb should be the highlight and should provide a decent amount of protein, especially given the price. Instead, I found myself filling up on naan, which tasted great but wasn’t great for my diet. The spice level was quite mild, even though I ordered it medium. The server who greeted me when I arrived ended up forgetting about me, and I had to wave someone down for assistance. Overall, having visited many Indian restaurants, I can say this one doesn’t stand out as one of my favorites.
I should probably start with noting that I do not care for Indian food. I have tried and tried and it never really took. Until I came to Aroma. The name fits it smells amazing as you walk in and everything I have tried was delish and flavorful! Iespecially love the Lamb Korma (reminds me of a Thai curry) and the Peshwari Naan (flat bread filled with sweet coconut andcashew spread). The Goat Pepper Fry is probably the best goat I have EVER tasted. My hubs enjoyed the grilled platter andtopping it off with the 1947 Indian Lager was the perfect touch for a summer meal. I HIGHLY recommend this place and willreturn every chance I get!
I was driving by the city and picked up dinner. 5 for the aroma and 3 for the taste. The food looked good yet the taste was average. Kebabs were really good, but biryanis and curries tasted all the same(sweeter). I would categorize as an americanindian restaurents.
