I can't quite put my finger on the problem with the steak. It felt like it had been cooked in a hot press, resulting in a thick and tough exterior. The flavor was mediocre at best.
I celebrated my birthday dinner at this restaurant, and despite the kitchen initially messing up everyone's steak orders, they handled the situation incredibly well. They quickly resolved the issue without any hassle. When our meals returned, they not only replaced the steaks but kindly gave us entirely new meals!
Man outback has gone down hill and especially this location. I’ve been here twice in the last two years. Tried to give another chance after the bad experience last time but it’s still bad. I went with my son and grandmother and arrived to no one at the hostess stand, this poor young man was running between the hostessing, bussing tables and waiting tables.. while the manager watched and minimally helped. Our waitress, Stephanie, was extremely kind and attentive though! All three of our steaks were very poor cuts of sirloin. I’ve not ever had such a tough medium rare steak! It was difficult to cut and even more to chew, at medium rare. My son couldn’t even fully chew multiple bites. The best aspect was how friendly and attentive the staff was. But they’re clearly overworked and understaffed. There was a waiter who was off work eating with his family, yet having to help out with serving tables.. that’s really sad.
My ribeye was so spicy that I couldn't eat it. So they did grill me another with no seasoning but was better. However the baked potato and squash was delicious. I used to go to Outback frequently and never had this issue before. Don't go often now though due to finances.
