Bidra med feedbackI adore the food at this restaurant. It's my top choice for dining in Hyogo Prefecture. This family-run establishment is cozy, affordable, and lacks any frills.
Delicious and freshly prepared meals served with simplicity and efficiency. There is no menu, but you will be served whatever is best in the kitchen.
I really liked this place. You make a meal where you get a small salad, a few samosa, three small curries, rice, roti and a cup of chai at the end. I'm practically rolling out. I'm less pricier than what I usually do for dinner (1200) but it was a nice experience. A bit of ghee on the Roti and a bit more kick in one of the Curries would have made it 5 stars. Vegans: One of the Curries had panier and yogurt in, the salad had a dress on and chai has milk in. Staff speak English, so just explain your needs.
We tried the lunch menu and enjoyed the small starter salad with a tasty green pepper and orange sauce. Although we wished there was a bit more food, we felt we still received good value for our meal.
I walked in, explained that I was vegan and asked if they could accommodate me. At first, the lady said “no, I’m afraid we can only do vegetarian”. Then, I heard another woman’s voice speaking in Hindi ? and the lady began to ask me questions. After a bit of back and forth between me, the lady and the voice, we were able to reach a compromise. The food was really good! I had samosas, three curries, chapati, and rice. A good value at ¥1200. The restaurant seems to be a family-run operation: the voice later turned out to what I supposed to be the mother of the lady I was speaking to. Although it took a little while for them to warm up, the service experience, in the end, was very enjoyable. I’d definitely go back the next time I’m in Kobe.
