Great food, nice environment. Beef and noodles were amazing and so are the gyros.
One of Kokomo's hidden treasures. Small cafe atmosphere with good food and good people. The Pulled pork and BBQ are awesome. Be sure to check this one out!
First, I want to say that Juliannos has always been one of my favorite Kokomo restaurants. The previous owner was absolutely amazing, and he always made us feel very welcome whenever we came by. Now, let’s compare that to my experience there yesterday. I went to the drive up window around 5:30pm. I ordered two gyros plates with fries and drinks. And like always, I was told to pull around by the creek until my food was ready. There was one other customer parked there, waiting for their order at that time. The restaurant door opened, and served the truck who was there before us. After we parked, three other cars had also lined the creek waiting on orders after us. One by one, the three cars that arrived after us, were served and they departed. By that point, I was admittedly frustrated. So I went inside the restaurant, and I kindly asked for my money back and stated that I would go elsewhere, as I was on a time crunch. Now, add another ten minutes, added to the already 30 minutes of waiting, trying to get the refund from the cash register. I merely asked for the manager at that point. Because there was an inexperienced employee manning the register. The manager came in from outside and after hearing my story, he was super apologetic. He refunded my order without hesitation and even went beyond that, and offered to make our gyros for free for our trouble. I just hope Juliannos continues to be the restaurant it was originally meant to be. One with amazing food and great customer service. My last three visits under new management weren’t exactly what the original owner started this business out to be. I have only encountered the new owner once. And I’ll just say, her customer service skills, could use a little refining… Without the current manager’s kindness, and as much as I like gyros, I doubt I would have ever returned. I understand that people do make mistakes and have off days, I just hope Juliannos will continue to be this great place that I’ll feel comfortable introducing new people to coming into town. I see a downward trend that isn’t something I would continue to support. I hope the new management gets things right, in an effort to keep all the loyal returning customers.
I expected tender ribs for $18 a half slab. It was burnt, dry and smothered in sauce like they just reheated in a microwave. They just gave me what obviously looked way overcooked as the middle finger, so never trust them because I won't again.
