Nizen Yī Chán - Kowloon

Be sure to check out this restaurant when they are located in the Kowloon city district. Don't be surprised if you have to wait for a table, as they have a small seating area.

There are not many food choices. The favorite must be Curry w/ vegetables First, it is the broccoli flower rice not ordinary white rice. Very special, and tastes very good. It is also very appetizing! The cold dish Cabbage Rolls is also very recommended. It is wrapped with burdock. I thought the taste would be lighter, but with the sesame sauce, the whole dish tastes a lot better! In addition, be sure to try their home-baked vegan cakes, highly recommend the Earl Grey Blackberry Cake this is really a must-eat! The new cake Black Sesame Tofu Cake is also delicious! In terms of drinks, there are more choices than main food, and they all sound very attractive, but the taste is not strong enough, you can ask the staff for sugar! In addition, I was originally looking forward to the Italian Pasta w/ Lime Sauce but there is a little disappointment. Overall, it is a good experience, and the environment is comfortable, you can enjoy it with your good friends

The staff was friendly and the prices were good, but I didn't really enjoy anything. The nachos were fried and served with salsa and guacamole on the side, more like a snack than a full meal. The pumpkin burger was small and only contained mushy pumpkin, raw lettuce, and was served in a bun with orange peel. It was not enjoyable. The meal was so sweet that I didn't feel like having dessert, even though it looked good. The sweet potatoes were served instead of regular fries, which I didn't like. The vegetarian breakfast was a good size but very bland. Overall, there is room for improvement.

The restaurant has a comfortable dining room that is spacious with only a few tables. There is a 90-minute time limit for eating to prevent long waits for other diners. There are many vegan options available, including plant milk for coffee for an additional $5. The vegan cakes are beautifully presented. I tried the earl grey blackberry cake and found it to be soft, slightly sweet, and with a strong earl grey flavor. Although the cake was rich, I was satisfied with my meal. The main dish was served in a large portion and all the food presentations were attractive. I also purchased vegan cookies and rolls for breakfast the next morning, reheated them, and found them to be delicious.

I haven't been to "Yi Zhen" in Kowloon City for a long time. It's time to reward myself with some good food. I ordered the salt and pepper mushrooms for $45 because I saw other tables ordering it and it's fried (the key point). Let's see how it tastes.
