La Difference - Kreisfreie Stadt Koln

What a nice discovery! I just loved this little restaurant with friendly service and great food. When in Cologne, this is worth a try. I would say, keep the group small as it is a rather intimate and quiet place.

We had a great dinner here. It wasn't crowded on a Monday night. We had the multi-course special for 30 Euro per person. The wait staff was super nice, and offered to let us try 3 wines before we decided on a bottle. The appetizer plate was awesome. The food was well prepared and tasty.

One of the best I've had in Cologne. Get the starter with 3 little plates (there's one with 5 as well if you're more hungry). Beet ravioli were great & the service was attentive. Under 50 Euros for two drinks, a starter & 2 main dishes. FYI, it's a 5 minute walk to the nearby movie theater that plays English-language movies without dubbing.

La Difference is a good quality French restaurant located in a quite central area of cologne. Seating around 15-20 people this relatively small place does a good job at creating a familial atmosphere, mainly due it's excellent staff. Though it would describe the interior as average (3 on a 5 point scale) the service is absolutely up to standards (5 of 5) and the food quality solid (4 of 5). We paid around 80 EUR for a two person dinner including an aperitif, starter, bottle of wine and the main courses.Taking all into account La Difference is always a good choice for dinner and definitely worth it's 4 stars.

Small restaurant with good service we had complimentary soup and brandy.I had a bacon salad and a lamb leg both tasty and freshly done.The chef does an effort to make you feel at home.French music as background all the time makes you feel in France having if not mistaken Turkish food.
