Akaushi Dining Yoka-yoka - Kumamoto

A delicious looking beef bowl. However the taste is a bit too bland for its look.

It was ok, nothing very special. Beef was quite chewy with tendons. I expected better for the price.

We went to another branch that located at the Sakura shopping mall, near this one. The experience was terrible. We queued up for nearly an hour but the staff said that we can’t enter in it though it turn to us. Because it needs to sign the name to the book but we can’t read Japanese. We argue to the staff but he didn’t help us and his attitude was very poor.

This chain serves Mt. Asos red Wagyu-Rind, one of the slenderest breeds of the cow. The cuts are still great, so a rare serving on rice tastes great! A bit expensive compared to typical Steak Donburi joints, but still worth trying a locally grown beef.

The Yakiniku-Rind don ¥1500 and the roast beef don ¥1800 was very tasty, we had the lunch break. The Don came with Onsen-Tamago. The beef steak was okay. Beef quality was really high.
