Kokutei Kumamoto Ramen Shimotori

Good ramen. The line was quite long on vacation. We arrived at 10:25 and were #5 in the line, so we sat when they opened at 10:30. When we left the line, maybe 20 groups were long. The rams were delicious.

Great place to have Kumamoto Ramen. Rich delicious flavour with the egg yolks as well. If you arrive early (around 7pm), there is no queue, after that, there is a long queue as the restaurant is small. Would recommend to anyone wanting some delicious Kumamoto Ramen!

Quite a wait even during not peak hours. not amazing or worth the wait but the ramen is quite good. super garlicky and you want more garlic flavour theres black garlic oil for yall with heavy taste. 味道一般。人流很多，服務很好。

Good ramen and gyoza. But my personal favourite is still Komurasaki, down towards the end of Kamitori. Nothing negative about Kokutei, just my taste preference. That said, this is a close second.

Maybe because this restaurant is highlighted in the official Kumamoto guide website, I had come with very high expectation. Not to say it's not good, it's just not that superior when compared to most ramen I had had. Nevertheless, the nice soya taste of the chashu is more memorable to me.
