Bidra med feedbackThai gastrobar Ging Thai at Melbourne's Crown delivers an impeccable menu of contemporary Thai food and drink. The ambience is modern and relaxed. The beautiful space is anchored by the imposing bar that greets patrions when they enter. The venue runs seamless thanks to an all-star team ensuring that all the zest, vibrancy and vigour of Thai cuisine comes through on every plate. <br/ <br/ We started with the Thai Fish Cake AKA Tod Man Pla Chilli served with ginger, cucumber and shallots. The dish was a multitude of intense flavours. The Charcoal Grilled Chicken Satays were equally delicious. Tender skewers were cooked to perfection and served with a moorish curried peanut dip. <br/ <br/ For mains we fell in love with the Massaman Beef Curry. Featuring melt in your mouth morsels of beautifully cooked beef in a decadent and creamy curry cooked in a flavour-laden mix of sweet potatoes, peanuts, shallots and toasted coconut. <br/ <br/ The Pad Thai continued the trend of amazing dishes. The popular Thai stir fried noodles transported us straight to the streets of Thailand. Ribbons of rice noodles were skilfully wok tossed with bean shoots, garlic chives, chicken spring onion, peanuts ,shallots and egg in a housemade tamarind sugar sauce. Just yum! <br/ <br/ With a menu grounded in authentic Thai flavours paired with modern techniques, local produce and ingredients, Ging Thai pleases with a sophisticated menu.
I thought the food here was delicious. Usually I wouldn’t go to crown to try Thai food as this isn’t my chosen cuisine but I am so glad I did!<br/ <br/ My friends and I went as they were having a promotion (free dish for Thai stamps in your passport) we got three free dishes and ordered a few more. <br/ <br/ Everything was full of flavour and had the right amount of punch when it came to spice! Will for sure come back to try some more food. Really happy I went!
Decided to try out this new kid on the block, and the 'feed me ' menu for $68 pp caught our eye, which was plenty of food<br/ <br/ As per the photo, we got to try a few things on the menu,Overall enjoyed the food, but it has been catered to western tastes and is a bit heavier and sweeter than traditional recipes.<br/ We particularly enjoyed the Massaman Green curry, Pork satay, and Roti, the Pad thai and fish cake were a miss for us, <br/ Service from our blonde waitress was very good, <br/ Would have given a '5 Star ' rating but the price is a bit high to represent good value
Bumped into this restaurant for a late Friday night dinner and the food was an absolute delight. Everything was super fresh, tasty and quantity and quality both were at par. Plus the additional entertainment book discount was a cherry on top!Husband and friends enjoyed chicken fried rice the least but the curries took away all the points. Especially the yellow vegetable curry! I see myself visiting this place soon.
Ordered the Thai staple trio: Pad Thai, Curry Papaya salad. Can’t really fault those dishes. Was ecstatic when the Asian aunty brought those dishes out in the retro big plate, definitely felt like home.
