Slater Street Bench - Kurunjang

Probably the most decent cafe around this st kilda area where the coffee and service are reliable. My long black was better than I expected. Love it!

Nice ambience outdoors probably helped that it was a superb day. Friendly service but coffee was a little strong for my liking . Suits those that are into their strong coffees.

Cool hipster cafe without the hipsters for the corporate people of St Kilda Rd. Very unique layout with the counter in the middle and a bench on the window side with all the suits having their coffee breaks/meeting. LOVE the concept! Its chilled, comfortable and homely.. feels like a bar actually .. but instead serving coffee. Service was great from the asian girl at the counter, treated everyone equally nice. Ham and cheese baguette was simple and amazing! And the coffee was quality!

First off – I love this beautiful place! The interior is open and aesthetically simple but classy. I love the high timber benches with the low benches against the tall glass windows. The café itself is pretty much coffee and there’s a small selection of pastries and baguettes for those keen workers needing a quick bite. Turnover is fast, service is friendly.<br/ I’ve had the coffee before and it’s good. This time I decided the pastry. Was tossing up between the Simpson lookalike donuts or one of those delicious looking pastry and ended up getting the chocolate croissant… It was good. But I’m not sure whether it was a whole $5 worth of goodness. Pastry was really flaky and oily. Good amount of chocolate. Perhaps I’ll try one of those cheesy baguettes next time…

The Best Coffee On St Kilda Road<br/ <br/ Bench is one of those good Coffee shops hard to find and easy to return too, I am lucky enough to have it right next to my work place, i pop in most mornings for a Flat White and its just perfect smooth but strong. They also so a range of Pastries and on the Final day of the work week Friday we have an awesome selection of Doughnuts to choose from. They also for lunch time make a great selection of baguettes which are supper filling and leave you wanting to try the rest. <br/ <br/ The Team are awesome and they all kn ow my by my Name which is great for the personal Touch, Knowing my order is even better.   <br/ <br/ My Only negative is the Price has just gone up to $4.50 from $4 for a coffee so its makes them the priciest in the area but its good coffee so it all balances out i guess.
