Bidra med feedbackI don't know the area, as I am only passing by, and I may be a bit harsh, as I don't know how it compares to the rest of the neighborhood. However, this is not meant to be a bad review. The service is wonderful. We had a large party of 15 people. The menu is explosive! They have so many different things to order. They also have a good list of beers on draught, and the cutest glasswear. However, none of the food impressed me. One of their more interesting sides had multiple different types of potatoes, and while they were cooked well, they could have been seasoned better. I had their chicken special, and that was disappointing. Their crab cakes were not bad, and had a good amount of crab meat.
Second dinner here was excellent. Sunday afternoon (11/23) around 2:00 they were not very busy. We ordered from the Featured Items on the menu insert. I find that is almost always a good strategy. My wife had Broiled Monkfish with a butter/lemon sauce. She was concerned that the sauce might be overpowering but it was not. It was light and buttery with enough lemon to taste but not too strong at all. I had Pork Tenderloin with Apple Jack sauce. It was excellent. Tender and tasty. We shared Creme Brulee for desert. It was as good as I have had anywhere. It may be out of the way, but well worth the effort.
This is my favorite place to eat. Everything on the menu is amazing. Try the French onion soup. The people are very nice and remember your name.
Food and service was good, but décor and atmosphere is outdated. The place seems to cater to an older crowd.
Stumbled across the place and figured I would give it a shot. Good food and a award winning chef. Neat environment that is comfortable and cozy. It's off the beaten path but if you're in the area, stop in!
