Modern Shop and Café with lots of high quality products, goods and food. Nice vegan cafe with a relaxed vibe. But the price tag is a bit too far off for what you get. Tiramisu Parfait (1500¥ 9.8$ Nice combo and the small piece tiramisu is a great add-on. The fruits were frozen and therefore not nice to eat. For what you get the price is too high imo. Not worth nearly 10$
Mumokuteki Cafe is a magical spot catering for plant based folks and offering a much needed reprieve from the chaotic tourism Kyoto is experiencing. The cafe is located on the second floor of a shop and has such a cute vibe. Lots of natural lighting and warm ambiance to really make you feel at home. All of the meals here are vegetarian friendly with a few indicating that bonito is used. It looked like most items are vegan or can be made vegan, so be sure to check the menu to make sure before ordering. I ordered one of the Katsu Teishoku ¥2500) which came with an abundance of healthy veggie sides, rice, soup, and soy meat katsu. The soy meat patty was a hit that was perfectly fried and coated with a wonderful katsu sauce. My sister ordered their vegan omurice and fell in LOVE. She called it the best omurice she's had and her favorite meal during the trip, which says a lot considering she is not plant based. We ended the meal with an incredible soy latte dessert not too sweet and very refreshing. Loved the cafe overall. A bit on the pricier end but the quality of the food helps to justify the price point.
We had a reservation for lunch, which is definitely recommended, it was full. Yummy lunch, I had the curry, the red one was spicy, the cream colored was a bit bland mixing both makes it alright. The set meal with three types of vegan meat might have been the better choice. I had a maple latte as a dessert, tasted good.
Lovely vegan restaurant. Amazing value for money. Could not believe how how big the portion was for the money
