Bidra med feedbackWonderful Sushi restaurant that seats 10-12 people in the heart of Kyoto. It was fascinating to watch in anticipation while the chef created the Sushi. Wonderful flavours! We had 10 courses for 5000¥ at lunch. It took approximately 2 hours.
The sushi is amazing! Even my friend and I can’t speak English, there is a staff who can speak perfect English and explain each sushi to us! Highly recommend it
4 stars for price and very friendly chef owner! Otherwise, I give this a 3 star for lunch. At JPY 5000 per head at this sushi place which has 10 seats, this is definitely high in CP. The Chef is not your conventional chef donning leather aprons and speaks English! At this price range, there are about 10 pieces and Chef is generous in the fish cut. What you get is more fusion, definitely not your edo style sushi. Food: it’s decent and I must say excellent if you put the price tag in. The sushi doesn’t really brings out its flavor. There are many rooms to improve in terms of presentation and also cleanliness . But like I said, the price is the key factor for a good lunch. I won’t go for the more expensive menu though.
ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! I am so glad my husband found this place because it was our greatest sushi experience in Japan! It is a small and cozy spot where you will be immersed into the creativity and perfected skill of sushi. The chef and his apprentice are incredibly skilled and passionate, which is apparent with each piece of sushi. You will be given a price for a set of sushi, each day depending on the availability of that morning's catch. The apprentice was so genuine and would explain the uniqueness of each piece and answer any questions. It truly was eye opening and I was so appreciative of their time and effort. I see other comments about people being turned away without reservations due to the small size of the restaurant, they have to be considerate of the reservation times and to allow appropriate time for everyone to enjoy their meal. It's not a rushed thing. They were very reasonable and willing to work with us even though there were reservations later. Another thing to keep in mind for travelers: In Japan eating out is not about bending over backwards for the customer. If there is something good, you should make a plan to research and make a reservation. They are doing everything right here and I can't wait to go back!
It was my best sushi place to live all over! the chef and the apprentice were really friendly and especially the apprentice can speak English very well. the chef made sushi before me with extraordinary skills. so the taste is really good and they serve a special sushi. I will definitely visit again when I come back to japan.
