Tacos Chato - La Costa

Went to Tacos Chatos for the 1st time to feed our family of 5. The meal was underwhelming and our rolled potato tacos tasted sour, like the oil they were fried in was old. What a disappointment.

Burritos and tacos are delicious. Ordering and prep is easy and timely. Taco Chato is a lunch sample whenever my family is in town.

This turned out to be a nice find. We were heading back from the beach and searching for food on the way home. We found a pizza place but when we pulled into the shopping center we noticed this place. The pizza place looked a little fancy for us so we came here instead. Man are we happy we did. It has the feel of a authentic Mexican place and we love that. The staff was friendly and they made the food quick. I had rolled potato tacos for the first time because I have never seen that on a menu before and they were GREAT. My Wife had a shrimp burrito that was huge and really good too. If your in the area I would highly recommend this place.

Basic taco shop in Carlsbad. Limited menu for vegetarians. To me it's better to keep on walking the few blocks up Rancho Santa Fe Rd to El Pueblo.

Delicious fish tacos. Reasonable prices. Good service and friendly staff. Will be back.
