Heroes Grill - La Crosse

I genuinely hope to return for another few days. In contrast to the negative reviews I had read, my experience was completely different. The establishment has been under new management since 2019, and they truly understand how to treat their customers well. The selection of local beers was quite impressive. While Ben Glarus was my personal favorite, I tried all of them and found each to be excellent. Additionally, they are served cold from the tap, which I really appreciate—every bit of chilliness makes a difference for me!

The restaurant and bar, now under new ownership, has been beautifully renovated and boasts a lively, contemporary look. The food was outstanding!

The pizza was excellent, and the drinks were great too. The staff was friendly, and the bar had a pleasant atmosphere.

Given the name and tagline, I had high hopes for this restaurant. Unfortunately, perhaps due to the time of our visit, we were let down. We were the only customers there and waited around 5-10 minutes without seeing any staff. When the server/bartender finally showed up, she mostly spent her time outside on her cell phone. While the food was decent, as a first responder, I was really looking forward to this place. Sadly, I don’t think we’ll be coming back.
