Absolution By The Sea - La Jolla

The food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The staff were friendly and very attentive. They offered a great selection of house-brewed beers along with options from several local breweries. I tried the CAVU IPA and the Impossibility Burger, both of which were exceptional. The vibe was cool and laid-back, with a lovely terrace to enjoy. There are also games available, making it a perfect spot to relax with friends and family.

The beer was decent, and the service was quite good. Unfortunately, the pepperoni pizza did not impress me. However, the calamari was exceptional. The burgers appeared larger than what I had heard in previous reviews. I would have liked the music to be a bit louder, as it felt a bit dull.

Let's take a moment to discuss the handmade paprika flatbread… It might just be the best pizza I've ever had! The burst of flavors was absolutely incredible! The beer was great too, but I can't stop thinking about that pizza! It’s a fantastic place with friendly staff. Even the owner, Steve, stopped by our table to see how we were enjoying our meal. Definitely give them a try! But seriously… that pizza!

Absolution by the sea is a forward tanned restaurant like a garage behind the storefronts on La Jollas Fay Ave. Larger inside, Absolution offers a wealth of delicious ales. Wines and mixed drinks. I almost fell in love with the darkened Ale Concoction I started with. Lighter ales followed with delicate citrus notes. A grinning bar tender with emense knowledge of local brews served happy samples of various temptations, the exact reviews of each. Dinner was made of fried fish for me and a cheeseburger for my girlfriend. Served on a bed crispy, slightly seasoned fries my crispy fish literally dripped when broken. A bright, delicate white fish filled with taste. She gave her burger and fries with zeal. The Wagu beef was cooked perfectly to the middle rarely. Surely a place I will visit often. You should.

Really great and family oriented bar and restaurant. The food outside of the happy hour menu is a little pricy for the amount you get. But the food was tasty!
