Just perfect food and hospitality!! Even the wine was perfect. Very special place ! By far the best place in Taull

When we arrived in Taull, we needed some help finding a hotel and the good people here obliged us. We returned the good will by coming back here for dinner that evening. The place appears to be run by a woman and her son. She is the chef, he is the waiter. When we dined here the place was full but there are only about 8 tables. Interesting, is that he waits on one table, takes the order, delivers their order before going to the next table and starting over. I suppose less confusing this way, but it does make for longer waiting time. We were in no hurry, dining in Spain is as much an experience as it is enjoying food to relieve hunger. The menu has an option of ordering dinner all in one, appetizer, bread, choice of one of three entrees, wine and dessert. I opted for that, but my wife ordered a salad (formatge cabra). My appetizer was a small pasta plate, then Churrasco (marinated steak), bread, red wine, bottled water and Flan for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious including the Churrasco- but the steak was thin, boney and fatty. Beef is not that great in this part of Spain, hence marinating to improve the flavor. Between the two of us we drank an entire bottle of wine, a large bottle of water and we had two baskets of bread. I don't know if he charged us correctly but the total tab was only 22.40 Euro. We enjoyed this place, nice decor and setting with a view of the mountains through the front picture window. I had to chuckle as the booths here are made from shipping pallets (see photo).

We cam across This restuarant by chance and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.It seemed to be a family run restuarant and the were a few families in for dinner,the food was fresh, simple and reasonably priced.The staff were fun even though it was busy and our Spanish isn't that good.

Comida excelente y servicio inpecable. Ir al Empriu es sinónimo de calidad con una panorámica de postal. Perfect place, easy to get to and lots of parking lot. Scrumptious food and impecable service. Eating at the Empriu is a synonym of quality pictured with a beautiful landscape.

Calidad precio muy normal, hay mejores opciones en la zona.
