Bidra med feedbackWe drove 1 hour to have a beautiful anniversary dinner with a view to the lake from the terrace that was advertised on fork with many photos. On arrival, waiter said restaurant is not there but on the ground floor where the whole view is blocked with a black wall so none of restaurant guests can see any of the view at all. Once we showed the photos of the terrace and explained that it is unfair to advertise what is not reality the italian waiter said this helps them get more clients!... when we refused to eat among build walls outside in a dark, he said that the terrace is accessible only to hotel guests and that we can go there but we cannot be served there as it is too much effort for them to bring it. So we were just tired and disappointed but decided to go upstairs to at least see the view we drove for 1 hour! It was nice view, but they didnt serve any food there, was no music, no people, no toilets, we had to order drinks downstairs and bring them ourselves up to the terrace. Terrible experience for anniversary and attitude of waiters very unprofessional and ignorant.
Beautiful views. Better than a highway rest stop. Uncrowded.. Arrived for dinner about 9:00 pm. Ordered. Friendly waitress. Salad arrived with American style white sandwich bread and apology that this was the only bread remaining. Fifteen minutes later, at least, main dish arrived. We asked about the bread, why others had Regular French bread. We also noted the location, at a four-star hotel Our server said that was the hotel's rating, not the restaurant's, that they work together but are not in business together. She then told us it would have taken 20 minutes to bake more bread, implying their bread is frozen, then went on about how hard and unpredictable it is to run a restaurant, a short digression while I waited for silverware and we both waited for our frites. The frites were tasty and the fish was pretty good, though the portion seemed small. The salad was fine. But $76 later (not very much in Switzerland, but still...)we believe we should not still be hungry and feeling strangely unsatisfied.
Not everywhere restaurants at a hotel are great. We were so surprised with the friendliness of the staff and great food. For an aperitif we sat on the roof top with the great view of lake Geneva. The food was absolutely delicious, also next day for lunch. Friendly staff, flexible and dog friendly. Will go again!
It makes no sense whatsoever go there if you're interested in the view of the balcony, the owner herself sits there(at the only balcony) working with her laptop the whole morning, claiming she is working , and doesn't like to share some minutes being at that spot. I sincerely wouldn't recommend that if that kind of administration is in charge. Bad ass service
I was staying at the hotel thus I decided to have dinner at L'Atelier. The menu is well curated and offering great options. The wine list was great and I had an excellent white wine from the region. All dishes were very well presented and the food was very tasty. The service was great, despite being very busy, the staff was always nice and friendly. They all do speak Italian, so a good advantage if you do they immediately treat you as family.
