Abbott Texas Red Hots - Lackawanna

Gus is a cool guy he cooks the food in front of you and the servers are family so it is home feel kind of diner

Last Novenber, we were on a trip to Niagara Falls and were in a hotel in Lackawanna... When we arrived too late in the city, we drove Arounfd to get some food to get to the hotel as we were on the street all day and had really not eaten... We looked on a map and Abbott Rd seemed to be the next street with any kind of restaurants. When we came there, we couldn't decide about a place and then I started this place (Abbott's Texas Red Hots) from the corner of my eye and a quick search for Google and Yelp! revealed that this small place was rated sufficiently high in view of the area ... So, hot dogs it is! ... We went in and the first impression is that the place has not been updated since the 1970s... and I mean that in the BEST-Art! ... Every one of us ordered 3 chili dogs, fries and cokes and when we came to the hotel, we were happy to see how good this food was... Sometimes you find the best places most out of the way areas... sometimes as in our case it was just stupid luck! ... If I ever hit these parts again, I would eat DEFINITELY here again, for the food and the cool old school feeling of the place.

I think the best mucus sauce in the area. I'll get it for my hotdogs burgers. Fries homefries...

My personal favorite for Texas Hots. After we had lived in Texas, we had never heard of Texas Hots until we landed in Buffalo. I had to kill him that it was a WNY thing! I am so fascinated by this, I have to try them in many places! I'd say Abbot's the best I've tried so far. My children love sitting here at lunch table. The waiting staff was always friendly to them. Good experience. My children love the burgers. Always pleasant.
