I had a fantastic breakfast experience! The service was prompt, the staff was friendly, and the food was incredible. My friend mentioned that the cookies were the best he had ever tasted; they didn’t even need butter or jam! Seriously, when have you enjoyed a biscuit like that? It was incredibly moist and flavorful—truly the best! Additionally, it was great to see the owner, David, cooking in the kitchen!

The staff at this restaurant are incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful; they truly are fantastic! Our group had mixed feelings about the food. The Kruge etouffee was lacking in flavor, and the baked catfish didn’t have much taste either. The fried pork seemed super crispy, but it was so well done that we had to assist in cutting it with the steak knife we requested. On the other hand, our friends who ordered breakfast really enjoyed their meals. They particularly loved the sausage and another friend raved about Tony's Special. The coffee was good too. The restaurant has a large parking lot, which is a plus, and it’s conveniently located right next to Pouparts for a lovely post-meal walk! Overall, the highlight of our visit was the outstanding treatment we received from the staff; they genuinely appreciate their customers.

I ordered the breakfast plate with sausage and easy eggs, and it was absolutely delicious. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the sausage was some of the best I've ever tasted. The grits were also good, and the fluffy biscuit from the South rounded off the meal nicely. The basket of butter and jam was plentiful and offered a variety of jams, unlike other places I've been to that usually only have a couple of options. I will definitely return to Lafayette for breakfast next time.

People are very nice! Lacey was my server, and she helped me with the menu and checked me frequently. Great personality! Everything she proposed was great! Get the bacon!

It was good and Julie was great as our server. Nice for a breakfast stop. We went in initially for the beignets and of course they were great! The smoked sausage was delicious.
