Basilico Italian Italian Formula

Basilico is located on Musa Yaradua, which in my opinion is the best stretch of road got restaurants in Lagos. There is substantial parking available, and the restaurant is fairly easy to locate. There is a rustic but cost atmosphere in the restaurant, and the have a good variety of sitting options available. The service was really good and the food great, but my only issue was the lack of cocktails and dessert wines available. This has been one of my best Lagos restaurant experiences. Sunday, July 10 2022 members of my department at work led by our leader (yes, not HOD went to experience Italy in Nigeria. Planned for weeks and the outcome was not disappointing. Basilico is legit, original and not too pricey. The double espresso is marvelous and the bruschetta recipe is suitable for all foodies. I had some linguini and carbonara for the main course and rounded up with a Michelleti Bolgheri. Atmosphere is serene (when it's not raining and the spaces are judicious, lighting is ambient, and the decor is a mix of African and contemporary art (was disappointed not to see some Italian works like a Fiat, leaning tower of Pisa, Mario and Luigi etc. . Basilico is good for stopover getaways, light dinners, soirees, light hearted culinary fiascos or gentle munching. Please enjoy your stay.

First of all the Italians can cook! The art work of the restaurant makes a great viewing and sets a nice ambience to the whole place plus there is an outdoor section with trees and fresh air. On my first visit to Basilico I had the Alla Ricardo Pasta, Pork Chops and Yam Chips while on the second visit I had the Pork Chops and Jollof Rice. The pasta was fresh, well done and I requested for it to be Al Dente because that's how I loved my Pasta. The Yam chips was also a highlight of the meal and it didn't taste like Yam at all as it was well seasoned while the tomato sauce was one of the best things I've tasted in my life. Their Pork Chop was freshly made and had the right amount of smokiness to it and I absolutely loved it. The pork chops is something I will keep ordering anytime I go back.

Great place for small meetings and quite dates. Food is amazing and consistent. Try the confusion salad... Woman owned!!!
