Bidra med feedbackWe visited on a busy night and could only secure a reservation for 9:30 PM. The food took an eternity to arrive, and we were quite hungry, but we tried to be patient. I ordered the full rack of ribs, and unfortunately, they were tasteless. The sauce seemed like something straight out of a bottle, just slathered on without much thought. The steak was burnt as well. Honestly, I would recommend saving your money and heading to "Buckets," where you can enjoy better burgers and similar fare. I ended up paying $33 for the ribs, and I definitely had my expectations set too high.
The artichoke dip was delicious and the portion size was just right! The chicken and cheese quesadilla was incredible—it was gone in no time. My daughter ordered soup, and the portion was enormous! My husband enjoyed the loaded mac and cheese, which was very tasty. The kids opted for their favorite burger and grilled cheese, but they couldn't stop raving about the fries! For dessert, the kids chose the strawberry shortcake. They were expecting a traditional stacked shortcake, but what they received exceeded their expectations in size; had they known it would be so big, they would have shared! Our waitress was delightful and took a few extra minutes to chat with my 7-year-old about Legos, which truly made his night. If we lived closer, I would definitely visit this restaurant even if I weren’t staying on the property!
I would strongly advise against visiting this restaurant. The service was unbelievably poor—it's the slowest I've ever encountered. After waiting an hour for our appetizer order, we decided to cancel it. We also requested drink refills, which never arrived, as well as salt and pepper that were also never brought to us. While they did end up covering our entire bill, I still wouldn't return, especially considering the prices you pay for a night at the lodge. The manager did recognize the problems we faced and offered an apology, but overall, this place is just not worth it.
The staff and the food at barnwood were phenomenal. The receptionists and our server were so sweet and the crew that brought our food to the table. It was wonderful experience there. I was worried from the other reviews it would be a disappointment, but itwas actually fantastic. My sister and I shared the Wild Mushroom Pappardelle and it was so delicious! We had the calamari appand my two older sons had the 16 oz. Bone-in Ribeye and the little ones got hamburgers, chicken fingers and grilled cheese.Everything was literally perfect, so thank you again, it was one of the highlights of our stay.
Originally I was going to put 1 star but kuddos to the manager and sweet hostess for their great customer service. I had placed a to go order for the Quinoa Salad. The rest of my family was eating pizza so I thought we had planned it perfectly. I placed myorder at 5:45 and was told come back 25-30. When I can back she said they didn?t start on it. She then told me to come back in15. I came back again and it still wasn?t ready. I waited over an hour and asked again. The manger came out and apologizedtelling me they started the app and the kitchen was overwhelmed. She then gave me a discount on my dinner. I was thankful sherealized waiting over an hour when I was told 25 min wasn?t okay. Dinner was great! I would def eat here again. Hopefully theyget the times worked out so others aren?t waiting so long.
