Bidra med feedbackWhen we arrived at the Geneva Chophouse, we were taken aback to find that they had no record of our reservation. Luckily, they were not too crowded and were able to seat us right away. Our server was friendly and we decided to order the Tomahawk steak. Although it took nearly an hour for our meal to arrive, the presentation was stunning. The steak was cooked to perfection. We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary and the restaurant kindly treated us to a glass of champagne each and a dessert to share.
The atmosphere was pleasant, though some may find it a bit loud. We enjoy the bustling ambiance. Unfortunately, service was slow and it took nearly 30 minutes to receive our drinks. I had to remind our waiter about our order. The filet was prepared as requested and had good flavor, but was slightly tough. The mushrooms were tasty, however, the Yukon mashed potatoes and creamed corn were underwhelming. The mashed potatoes lacked flavor and were dry, while the corn tasted like it came from a can with some butter added, and the Parmesan was missing. The overall value was not worth the high price. If you are willing to spend $300 on dinner for two, I would not recommend this place. I should mention that we frequently dine at Gibson's and RPM Steak.
The food was good, especially our date appetizer. The waiter was very engaging and good. Eating on the terrace was very nice as it was a beautiful night. Although we enjoyed ourselves, the meal was very costly and not worth the value. If you want a nice atmosphere and don't want to leave the grounds, give it a try so long as you're not concerned about the cost.
Excelent food ,ambiance, view and service. Very consistent.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Food was great and service was excellent. Server Brian was knowledgable and Caleb was attentive. Only drawback were the people in bath suits cutting across the porch seating wrapped in towels...definitely brought the ambiance of pork seating down.
