Bidra med feedbackI rate this place 2 stars because the service was adequate. However, the food was disappointing; I could whip up better ramen using a packet from the grocery store. I ordered the spicy seafood ramen, and it tasted like mildly spicy, flavorless water. Instead of the usual soft-boiled egg, there was a fried egg tossed in. Don't waste your money on this—$17 for something you could easily make in your microwave for just $4.
Main dining experience is very subpar. The decor is out dated. I had the deluxe sushi combo and some of the pieces were still frozen! The best thing I ate there was the salad that came with my sushi entree. Our waitress was great tho and was very attentive. I would not eat the sushi here again.
I used to go to Amura at least once a month. It has been a little while since my last visit but after this last trip I definitely will not be going back. They no longer offer hibachi takeout and their recommendation was not even close. I ended up spending $80 for 2 rolls and a dinner plate. Sadly enough I can’t even say that any of the food was good. I can get better sushi at Publix and would definitely not recommend. If you are in Lake Mary and want good Japanese food I would recommend Mikado or Island Fin Poke. Oh and they forgot the ginger dressing on the salad.
Service and atmosphere is great but the food doesn't keep up. The sushi tasted good but was poorly wrapped, not a single one lasted when picked up. Priced at 10.99, and I believe 16.99 which is kinda high. Ramen had no real broth flavor other than spiciness. Noodles were bland and when brought home for leftovers, got a mouth full of eggshell for some reason....maybe others have better luck but I think I'll pass
I’ve eaten here before and it was fantastic, the food was great and so was our waiter. Recently I had an “interview” here and it was probably the most horrible experience I’ve ever had interview wise. I don’t even think one can call it an interview with how short and minimal the conversation even went, the host was super awkward when I walked in and greeted her letting her know I have an interview, I filled out an application again after applying online, then the person who was interviewing me didn’t even know how to start the conversation just asking me 2 Questions of “do i know anything about Japanese food?” And “what’s my previous work experience” no introduction of who he is, his role of the restaurant or anything. As I’m answering a question of his he politely says “i have no role for you” so i took time out of my day, drove to the restaurant and spent more time driving than even speaking to someone there, to essentially have my time wasted is a clear form of disrespect. Please do better when it comes to these sorts of things yeah you’re a solid restaurant with good food and well established but things like this matter and the details of how people walk away from even experiences like this matter. If this was in the form of service to a customer waited to be seated and served this wouldn’t fly or be tolerated.
