Lovesick Lake Park Restaurant

We have eaten here before and by far the best meal here is breakfast. Do not order their Nachos, absolutely horrible! The beef on top looked old and dry and there was an insufficient amount of cheese. We also ordered the daily soup which happened to be cream of mushroom, the overpowering flavor of thyme ruined the soup. I think it's time for us to find a new restaurant along Hwy 28.

Stopped for lunch here on Sunday at 1:30pm. The place was still very busy but 10 minutes later it was quiet. We had to go get our own menu since the server did not bring us one. (She had just said "sit anywhere" and then forgot us.)Anyway, all was well after that. I had a corned beef sandwich with fries and it was very good. My wife had a burger and it was great too but more greasy than expected. Prices were reasonable.

Stopped in to enjoy some ice cream while visiting the area for the week. Kawartha Dairy ice cream never disappoints! This is a great little spot to either stop in for a quick bite (burgers, other pub fare, a beer), or to cool off with a sweet treat. The gifty items in the adjacent store were fun to browse at. Our children purchased a souvenir to remember our first visit to the Kawarthas area.

We had a group of 16 stop in for lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the ice cream they got while leaving. The server was courteous and ensured everyone was taken care of. With a group that size everyone's lunch came out within a reasonable timeframe. No one was left waiting.

The food here is excellent. We have had many food items off the menu, and all of them have been excellent. Food is always served hot, and fresh. Wait staff are friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend this place for any meal throughout the day.
