Country Chicken Fish - Lakeland

The food was excellent; the chicken was cooked to perfection, and the portion size was definitely worth the price.

I hadn't visited since the pandemic, but it’s just as fantastic as I remember! I always call in my order from the interstate (large gizzards, small liver), and it’s always hot, fresh, and ready when I arrive. The staff is consistently friendly and respectful, especially Ms. Priscilla, who makes me feel like we’re old friends! I absolutely love this place! I can't travel on I-4 without stopping by—it's a must!

First of all, the staff was extremely rude despite the "Jesus loves you" sign on the side of the building, which felt hypocritical. When I mentioned that I was still deciding on the menu, they became upset and made me wait for 30 minutes. When I finally received my food, it was cold, the fries were flavorless, and the gizzards tasted artificial. To make matters worse, when I asked for something to eat with, I overheard one of the employees say, "****, she’s white; she knows how to eat with her hands." I was hurt and scared, especially as all the employees were staring at me. I will NEVER return there again, and I WANT my money back!

Paid for 10 piece mixed chicken which is about $6 more than 10 piece all dark. Got home and received all legs and thighs. On the brighter side the chicken was delicious and the sides are awesome especially that potato salad. Just next time I’ll check order before heading home which was a hour drive.

Chicken was just like Ok nothing to bragg about. The Fish was horrible. I will never spend another dime a this place. If you want nothing fancy just decent edible food. Stay away from this place. My dog growled at the piece of fish I offer her. She refused to eat it.
