California Ice Cream - Lakeside

The staff were incredibly polite and helpful during our visit. We placed a large order for a church commemorative picnic, and everything was perfect. The classic ice cups, complete with wooden spoons, really brought back memories. Do you remember how the wooden spoon used to taste? The kids absolutely loved it! Overall, we fed a group of 250 people successfully.

There was a icecream truck owned buy this company yesterat at woodglen vista park yesterday. Around 530pm and i have to say the driver was really rude and the prices were outragous he charged me $7 dollars for 2 ice creams i said are you kidding me? A spiderman icecream and a watermelon popsicle i am seriously still shocked. I have never paid that price from any of the other icecream trucks that came there its sad there were kids who ran up there with only $2.00 and he said we dont have an icecream for that amount. Its almost like you have to bring your atm card everywhere now a days. Shame on the icecream man and the markup on prices i will nevee purchase from that truck again.

This is where the ice cream man stocks up! Great idea: stop by and buy a box or two of wholesale ice cream and become a hit at a party! Remember to pack a cooler with ice first. The grocery story up the street sells dry ice if you are in a pinch. They also sell a variety of Mexican candy to fill a pinata. Good prices friendly staff.

I have gone to the California Ice Cream Store several times, I have two boys we love to go to this place. When we go, there is usually a man there, I think he is the owner. He has no problem looking in the back for the choices that my sons or he can't find in the freezer. I had the same experience as the two star review the one time that the woman was there and helped us. My suggestion Call ahead, if the woman answers the phone, try again the next day. You really can't beat this place, I have gone in with my boys and purchased many ice cream bars (to stock the freezer , suckers and candy, the owner gave me a price that was WAY less than I expected to pay. The ice cream (bar choices here are GREAT! My boys like the Pink Panther Batman Cotton Candy type and I like the real fruit kind. I think he has the freezers extra cold in this place because the ice cream is very frozen if you eat it right away. This place also has the Mexican Tamarind Chili type candies and other stuff too. They sell them separately or you can buy them in bags. My boys and I love sour things, once we found this large bag of sour (Mexican I think candies there, it looked interesting so we bought it we have never tasted anything as sour as these, WOW TYPE SOUR! my mouth is puckering as I think about them. We were addicted to those candies. We only saw them there once. The last time we were there (a few days ago , I asked the guy about them, he looked around and said that he will try to find them at his supplier the following day. I just called to see if he found them, but (SHE! answered the phone oh well.... We live in Lakeside but will be moving to Ramona soon, my boys and I will miss this place.

This place is fantastic if you're looking for wholesale ice cream. They offer great prices and a wide variety to choose from.
