Sunshine Cafe - Lakeville

I completely understand who you're referring to with the young waitress. I was hired by this company nearly six months ago and quickly came in for training for a part-time position, having some prior experience. After about an hour of training, one of the owners pulled me aside and told me they had made a mistake and overhired. They gave me a $20 bill for my time and sent me on my way (their loss!). I've since taken a part-time waitressing job at Friendly's on the Middleborough Rotary. The only downside is that we’re struggling to stay fully staffed and we no longer serve breakfast. However, I truly love what I do and am grateful for how things turned out. I cherish my customers, so if you're feeling disappointed, come visit me at Friendly's! – Bonnie

Overall, the food was excellent! The service was decent. There were two servers, one younger and one older, both with long hair that was not tied back, and I noticed them playing with their hair while attending to customers. Then, things took a turn when the younger server brushed her hair behind the counter while people were eating. That's not something I'd want to experience again!

Unfortunately, prices have increased while the quality of service has declined. The food is consistently excellent—if they manage to take the order correctly. I noticed that the cooks had to deliver our food to our table, which I find unusual; they should be back in the kitchen focusing on cooking rather than serving. I had to ask the cook for jelly, ketchup, and hot sauce because the waitress clearly didn’t care. It’s really disappointing to see the direction Sunshine Cafe has taken over the past year. Update: 9/7/22 - I decided to give them another shot, but the same snotty waitress was still strutting around in inappropriate clothing for a server. We waited an hour for our food, and I’ve decided I won’t be returning. As far as I'm concerned, this restaurant has really gone downhill.

Had crepes with blueberry filling. My friend got raisin french toast. Delicious. The waitress was very nice and brought me extra whipped cream.

The food was very average, borderline bad at this place. Everything was very bland. The pancakes were super hard. Customer service was not great either. Waitress never gave us a menu, we had to fend for ourselves LOL! Yikes, hard pass. The price ispretty cheap, so maybe that?s why. I would not recommend ????
