Whataburger - Lampasas

Whataburger is hard hyped. they have good ingredients, but they do not season enough and they do not grill well the burgerpatties. it eats almost ironic her pommes because the pommes are oversalted. but, as I said, big pickles, tomats and swirling. even her bark is quality. only the season must be adjusted and how the burgers are cooked.

Was focused on drive thru orders and not so much on those waiting in the lobby. 25 minutes for a burger.... They actually had employees there, unlike most places these days.

We watched, with anticipation, the construction of the new Whataburger in Lampasas, Texas on our many frequent trips through town. We were excited to see Whataburger come to Lampasas, as Whataburger is a favorite of my husband's. We had passed through Lampasas many times after it opened waiting for the store to work out the kinks of being new before we stopped for a meal. On Wednesday evening (12/29/2021) we stopped in around 6:20 on our way back home. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full. There was a pretty good line in the drive-thru. We placed our order (which the girl taking the order seemed pretty unsure of herself) and looked for a clean table at which to eat. The majority of the tables were dirty and there was food on the floor. We wiped the table we sat at with one of the disinfecting wipes that we carry with us because it had not been wiped down from previous diners. The women's restroom was dirty. AND THE FOOD???? WELL, LET'S JUST SAY NO ONE LIKES COLD, DRY BURGERS AFTER WAITING 20 OR MORE MINUTES FOR THEIR FOOD!! OBVIOUSLY, THE FOOD IS PREPARED AHEAD OF TIME AND SITS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO ORDER. BOY, WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!! NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WILL BE DRIVING ON THROUGH AND NOT STOPPING AT WHATABURGER. WHAT A SHAME!!

They got my order wrong but they fixed it with no extra charge. I had ordered a Whataburger meal the clerk put in hamburgers only. Told the manager and she fixed it so I received my French fries and drink at no extra charge. The hamburgers and fries were hot and fresh.

Well the first burger was cold , the fries didn't have enough salt. They did make a new burger, it was ok. I went here because our group wanted to go. When I am in this town from now on I will stick to Bill's Burgers. I know I will get a great burger there..
