Sam's Southern Eatery - Laplace

Food is fantastic here. The waitress and I had a great conversation about our kids while I waited and another guy even helped me get my food in the car! I highly recommend this place and I will return.

Labor Day and most places are closed and that made us LUCKY! We came across Sam's Southern Eatery and what a WIN. Fried shrimp, fries, red beans and rice on one plate and the other was fried oysters, grilled fish covered with delicious smoothed onions and green peppers! The gentleman serving us was excellent and took care of everything promptly. Life is good with southern seafood goodness in your belly I highly recommend Sam's Southern Eatery. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

The burger was really good. However, what they call a Shrimp Poboy is more of a shrimp sandwich on a hogie roll..

Seafood fans must visit this place! You would not think they have so much going by looking at the outside building, however the food is second to none!

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The fried fish, shrimp, and crab cakes are all outstanding. I would give the fried green tomatoes a perfect score of 5! The portions are very generous. However, the dining area is not very comfortable; it consists of just a few tables in a bar-style setting with a counter seating area.
