Bidra med feedbackBest breakfast burritos in town just gotta take advantage of the salsa bar. I really like the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. The perk of being open 24/7 I great, too.
I've been getting Burritos de Pollo Asado from Almanzas for years. Nothing compares in my opinion. No rice. No beans. No fillers at all!!! Just pollo asado and some guacamole sauce. The salsa bar is great like nine different sauces to choose from. I can't speak to the other menu items. The Pollo Asado Burrito is superior I visit Santa Rosa California often, and haven't found anything close there.
Almanzas used to be a staple here in Laramie for decent Mexican food, open all the time, and a great value. It has been a couple of years since I've eaten there, and I stopped to get a shredded beef chimichanga, and some chips and cheese. Sadly what I got was a horrible mess. There was no shredded beef I guess, inside the massive and greasy undercooked tortilla was six small cubes of beef of some kind. The cubes were about a half inch square, and there were a couple of slices of red and green pepper. That was it. It was buried in a mess of stuff, and surrounded by rice and beans, both of which were way salty and definitely tasted of being canned. I ordered the chips and cheese thinking I would get chips with queso, and ended up with a styrofoam container of microwaved tortilla chips with shredded cheese on top. It was horrible. I am so bummed out with what has happened to Almanzas. For the money I spent, I expected better, even though the prices were fair. The food was just God awful. I won't be back.
This place is dirty, I'd rather go to taco John. Inwas very hungry one night, ordered from the drive thru, as I'm sitting at the window i noticed the guy the window scratching his n*ts. Never again. nolie rollthecamera.
First off, any place that offers Chile rellano burritos is a-ok in my book. Despite the spate of negative reviews I have been here twice and have been quite satisfied. Well lit, warm, good prices, small salsa bar, tasty food and 24 hour service, it's perfect for me. As for the rumors it's affiliated with a Mexican cartel, who cares? The mob ran pizza joints in jersey and I'll bet the pizza was good. Almanzas is just what a college town needs.
