Bidra med feedbackOver rated, over priced and an astonishing lack acknowledgment about just how bad they are. Really save your money you will only be disappointed. My favourite comment of the night from our server ‘we don’t taste the food, if you don’t like it no problem we won’t charge you’ (in relation to a dish so salty it was palette destroying) Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
Second time at Guy Savoy. The first time was better. Almost slightly regretted we came here for our anniversary. We enjoyed the food, it’s balanced, elegant and delicious. The truffle soup and deserts were great . However we did not enjoy so much about the wine paring. As a wine student (and part time winemaker myself- couple of harvest seasons with Cbrands), I’ve always curious about wine and food paring. I asked some questions about the selections and wanted to know more about the nuances, but we did sense the annoyance from our somm. Probably because the restaurant was busy, and we understood he didn’t want to engage in a conversation. The paring itself was good to be fair, but we wish it can be more creative and the somm can be friendlier. Not a ridiculous ask for a meal you pay over $1500 for. Food and wine was solid, but a lot of times it’s the overall dining experience and the people that set outstanding restaurants apart from the good ones. In this case, Guy Savoy disappointed us. We will not come back most likely, and overall we don’t recommend for the food and wine paring.
BLUF: Chef menu for two, definitely and worth the experience. We had delicious unique flavors and textures. Seemed like dessert didn 't end. Accommodation for wheat allergies. Among my top restaurants ever. Guy Savoy GEE Savoy We made a last minute reservation on a Sunday night. Valet parking by Qua spa for the convenience. Atmosphere is beautiful, comfortable, no loud music. Excellent seating and it 's not cramped. My wife 's purse got its own stool. We didn 't see designer handbags on the pristine floor of this fine establishment. Excellent service and staff. We didn 't expect so many courses here, the menu was deceptive in a good way. Opted for a few wine glasses vs wine pairing. This is my layman description of all the delicious food: Massive cart with bread. Butter mountain under glass dome. Amuse burger slider, cone thingy with brie, Cucumber thing. Delicious Octopus (beyond just edible . Fish had perfect sear and char. Artichoke soup, black truffle brioche Fennel multigrain bread, brioche, sourdough with soup. Lobster, wagy, carrot, foam ravioli. Lemon cream cheese ice cream, aloe, raspberry. Cracker mousse thing. Plate of Chocolates. Massive Dessert Cart: apricot, raspberry marshmallows, rice pudding. Earl grey ice cream as a palate cleanser. They handed out boxed brioche as we walked out. While my descriptions don 't do justice, use your imagination and also check out the pictures on other reviews. If it looks good, it tastes great here. Everything here looks good. Restaurant Guy Savoy the other place (starts with P, ends in O . We will have to come back and try anything we missed. Thanks! Dietary restrictions: Wheat free accommodation
I am belatedly sharing an excellent experience in 2008 and something amazing in 2010. A great welcome, original but very good cuisine. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Disappointed. The food was good. The service was very rushed, the atmosphere cold and definitely not what you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. Not worth it, especially if you have experienced other high end restaurants. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
