J Peters Grill Lavonia

I had an unexpected overnight stay and decided to treat myself by ordering the early bird flounder special at this restaurant. It was absolutely delicious! The loaded baked potato and salad with balsamic vinaigrette were also great. And the buttery sweet croissant was a special bonus that added to the overall experience. The service was quick and efficient as it was a takeout meal for dinner. I highly recommend this place for a tasty and satisfying meal.

My husband and I come from Atlanta to our lake house every Thursday and there are not many places to eat around this area. I was hoping this would be a nice place for us to frequent, but unfortunately the food is subpar. The honey butter croissants are good. It is better than Longhorns, but that is not saying much. The bar scene is fun, though. The bartenders are good and it's always a lively crowd. The best place to eat in the Lavonia area is Tilly's Tiki Restaurant. It is our favorite.

Experience was awful, waitresses we're smart with us when we told them we had been there 45 minutes and we asked for a manager so they got smart with us then they lied and went and got another waitress not the manager because the first waitress said the manager was a gentleman. Then when they called our name for our table the hostess laughed because we voiced that we were not being treated right. There was only 5 tables sitting when we wanted to be seated and the table that was for us was empty for 25 minutes. No one was bussing tables and when they would bus a table they would clean it a little leave for 10 min then come back clean a little and leave again. These people have no idea what they are doing. They sat approximately 7 to 8 parties before us that came in after that totalled way more than the 14 we had in out party which by the way was half kids and were sharing plates. The waitress Makenzie was nice, but the hostess was horrible and the older waitress with blonde hair was a smart mouth. This is the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant and will not be back. Horrible management. Oh and by the way the manager never came and talked to us.

I dined at this restaurant and gave it a 5 out of 5 for the food quality. The service was good, with a rating of 4 out of 5. The atmosphere was also nice, receiving a score of 4 out of 5.
