Bonefish Grill - Lawrence Township

We just came for the Bang Bang Shrimp, and I wasn't disappointed. The burger was also really good.

We stopped by for dinner and chose to sit at the bar. Our bartender, Julia, was friendly and attentive. We noticed a special offer for two dinners at $45, which piqued our interest because it included a key lime cake for dessert. We decided to give it a shot; I ordered the Mahi, while my companion opted for the bone-in pork. Both meals came with generous salads—I had the house salad, and he had the Caesar. The Mahi was incredibly juicy, and the Mango Salsa had a nice kick to it. While the broccoli and jasmine rice were unremarkable, both the Mahi and the pork were delicious and cooked perfectly. We decided to take the key lime cake to go, and when Julia learned we had a three-hour drive ahead, she kindly provided us with water in to-go cups. Later, at our hotel, we dug into the cake and WOW, it was the highlight of the meal. We ended up competing for the best bites and wished we had another slice!

The attitude and the staff were nice, but I feel like I'm paying more than the food. Food is decent not sure what its signature is. Not impressed, so I guess I won't return.

None of my dining companions liked their meals either, and they didn’t finish them. The waiter only checked back after everyone had already received their food, leaving me hungry for most of the evening. Eventually, they offered to comp our meals and took them back, but the fact that our server waited until everyone was done to check on us was frustrating, especially since if there had been a problem, it could have been addressed sooner. I’m generally very understanding, but considering we were one of the last three tables, it wasn’t as if the waiter was overwhelmed and couldn’t come by. The manager did offer to have the meals prepared again, but I couldn’t see letting everyone wait while they cooked once more. After this experience, I won’t be returning. We discussed how bad the food was and someone mentioned that the restaurant had changed ownership recently, which could explain the decline in quality. I’m not sure if this will be my first and last time here, but I doubt I’ll be back.

I rated it 3 stars because I had high expectations. We ordered several dishes to sample, and while they weren't bad, they all lacked flavor. The fries were nice and crispy, and the sauce on them was enjoyable, which we really liked. However, the pasta was bland, and the mussels were creamy but also not very flavorful.
