Kickin Seafood Cajun Style - Layton

We're both coming back. My husband and I ordered an appetizer fried shrimps, the fried fish-po-boy sandwich for me and the #1 combo for him. Sooo goood .. we will definitely try other things again!! Our server Bailey was great and super nice. Oh and the peach boba I had been mmmm really delicious!!

However, the waitress was very polite, which was a pleasant surprise, as I had anticipated someone more typical of a casual restaurant atmosphere. Once I tried the food, it arrived hot and ready to eat, with rice served as a side. I have a few suggestions for improvement. The interior lacks Cajun decor or Southern flair, which would have enriched the experience. Using parchment paper on the tables could help keep dishes hot, rather than serving them on a heat-resistant tray. Serving food in a plastic bag on a tray and then removing the tray would also enhance the presentation. Halfway through the meal, the food had cooled down, becoming far less appetizing. Additionally, the clams were quite small, resembling baby clams rather than more mature ones. Having traveled extensively in Europe, Africa, and South America, I’ve seen various restaurants and learned what delivers the best results. Of course, these are just suggestions. I wasn't overly impressed with the other offerings either, as the scallops were rubbery and undercooked. Overall, my experience at your restaurant was certainly unique, but there is room for improvement.

This restaurant is tidy and well-maintained. The service is excellent, and the seafood is outstanding. The prices are more affordable, and the portions seem to be larger compared to other Cajun seafood spots in the city. I ordered the combo with 1.5 lbs of peeled shrimp, which was very reasonable, and the food came out quickly. I highly recommend it!

The staff was very polite and helpful. I'm a door lock and I have to use another stick. When I arrived to pick up my order to deliver the gentleman who worked the register, I saw that I tried to hurry and put my order in my pocket. He kindly told me to relax and helped me put the order in my pocket and tear it. Then I wished a good rest of my day...
