The Bear In The - LEAMINGTON SPA

The Bear in Spa has closed! We only found out when we arrived, which was quite frustrating.

When I arrived, the restaurant was closed. There was no information regarding its location, and I didn't receive any calls or emails beforehand or afterwards. I had to quickly find an alternative solution for a group of 11 people.

When we arrived, everything was closed. We later discovered that the previous week had been their last week of operation. It would have been helpful if they had canceled their bookings.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been. place is very beautiful and eating was amazing! I would recommend it to everyone! chicken wings were incredible!

We visit the Bear regularly and always like the food there. The staff turnover however is pretty high which is a shame. We recently went because they were advertising 50% of total bill if you downloaded their loyalty card. No other information/conditions were stated. I downloaded the card the morning of the day we went for the meal. At the beginning of the meal I told the waitress we had the card and the 50% deal and she said great again no conditions were stated to me. When it comes to paying the £65 bill my loyalty card was not accepted as I was then told its needed to have been downloaded a minimum 24 hours before being used. I was very cross about this as nowhere is this condition stated and the waitress who took our order never said anything either. We couldn't really afford to spend £65 on a meal for two and would have ordered differently had we been told. The waitress (a different one) who refused the card did knock two drinks of the bill as a good will gesture but the whole experience has left me feeling ripped off and I am unlikely to go again in the near future.
