Belle's Little Country Kitchen

Tucked away in the heart of our lovely town, Belles Country Kitchen is a hidden treasure that embodies genuine Southern hospitality. From the moment you walk in, you are welcomed with warm smiles and a friendly ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The decor is charmingly rustic, featuring wooden tables, vintage signs, and soft lighting that creates a cozy atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the company of friends. The menu at Belles Country Kitchen is a heartfelt tribute to Southern cuisine. Every dish is carefully prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients that highlight the true flavors of the South.

Let's discuss this experience. For $25, we received two small hamburgers that were almost overcooked, a handful of fries, and the tiniest bowl of low-quality mac and cheese I've ever encountered. The waitress was friendly, which was a plus. However, the portion sizes for the price are outrageous. We won’t be returning. I’ve dined at mom-and-pop diners all over the country, and this one doesn’t compare—save your money and head to Cookout instead.

I'm giving this restaurant one star because the $10 meatloaf meal was a complete joke. They served a tiny piece of meatloaf that was literally just a few bites! The portion was more suited for a kindergartner. For $10? Absolutely not! I'd rather go to Ocharley's, add $5, and actually get a full meal. Plus, the food was nothing special either, so combined with such a small serving, it's just not worth it. I won't be coming back.

This restaurant may be a beloved spot for locals, but if you're a visitor, you might want to consider spending your time and money elsewhere. The food is quite ordinary, lacking flavor, and often soggy – not what you’d expect for $10 per platter. The coffee is priced at $3, so you'd need to drink seven cups just to feel like you got your money's worth. I also noticed mold under the pastry dome at the front counter, which is quite alarming. On top of that, the chair was sticky and kept catching my hair, which was irritating.

I had the wildcat breakfast skillet and I really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend it!
