Bidra med feedbackSat outside front to sit in the sunshine and watch the VWs pull up for the festival. There is a larger outdoor area with picnic tables around the back. Good Sam Smith range, all own branded I tried a bottle of oatmeal stout. Done up OK inside. Good enough that I'd visit again and try the food
Ok another date in another pub bla bla bla first impression was yes quite a quaintly situated country pub opposite the Harewood estate ' the sun was shining so opted to sit outside around the back as it was a bit of a sun trap ' ok this is where it 's a disappointment all the kitchen extraction is exactly where you you don 't want it to be ie blowing at full tilt into your customers honker! Not a good start deep fat fryer oil needed a change! That and the dank smell of the wet fag ash! 'Pet hate please empty your ashtrays at the start of service It Just isn 't pleasant! So let 's get to the food! Not the best would be a kind descriptive! tasteless wet veg without to much effort drain water its basic cookery folks come on! The liver and onions was fine and plentiful mash also very good but all ruined by a lack of application ' and the drowning so in a nutshell it 's not expensive but nor would I pay anymore for what I ate ' drinks also reasonable prices so not all bad ' attention to detail!! then this eatery becomes a good one! Hope this helps
A fab original type country pub roaring fire on a cold day was welcomed xx Staff and the landlord especially great fun and made you feel so welcomed Food good and Beer brilliant what a selection we even tried the Cherry Beer and a Raspberry one !! has garden to side and a little terrace at front and rooms for staying liked most of all original setting and no TV!!! had a great giggle Thanks again
Took my grandchildren for tea at harewood arms very friendly staff lovely and cosy with fires burning and the food was delicious, will definitively be going back there.
We booked for Sunday lunch the day before. Being able to get a table should have been a warning sign. We booked for 12:00 and got there at about 5 to. The place was empty. Eventually someone turned up behind the bar and took us to a table. Then I had to get up and find a menu. Got drinks and ordered food at the bar. After about 20 minutes the starters came (simple prawn cocktail). The place was filling up, 4 other people had arrived. Main course arrived. We had ordered the roast beef. The portions were small, for which it turned out I was gratefull. The beef was very tough and very over done. We decided against desserts and coffee. Whilst there was a fire going in one for the rooms the place wasn't overly warm and had no atmosphere at all. A few Christmas carols playing in the backround would have broken the funereal hush. It all felt as though it was up to you, the customer, to know what to do, where the menus were, where to order food etc, nothing from the two visible staff at all. The chairs need re stuffing, you sank in the middle and the bar at the fornt of the seat digs into your thighs. We grabbed a couple fo cushions to help (we were on table 6)
