Thai Thonkaen - Leeds

Really good authentic eating. the lack of music is actually quite refreshing. eat comes fast and is delicious! when they are in the hurry to lunch mami thai is perfect. we ordered fishcake and moo yang (marinized pork on a spit that is dipped in Jaew dimmer sauce) to begin. the black was particularly good! for the net we had kow soi, up there with the best Thai yellow curries I had, and ka na moo krob, a perfectly crooked pork dish. we would recommend all these dishes!

Mami thai cooks the most amazing Thai food I've ever eaten! the place offers a very good selection of foods with a very reasonable price. beautiful, romantic and friendly atmosphere. great location. wuick service. I can only recommend it!

My new favorite Thai place in leeds. the portions are large, the atmosphere quiet and intimate, and the prices are very good. occasionally the orders go a bit wrong (jasmin reis instead of roasted rice etc.) but still my favorite place for good, delicious, delicious food.

Simply the best Thai food in leeds, it is not only super tasty, it is ultra authentic. I have always said that these posh Thai restaurants in leeds are not in agreement with how Thai food is served in Thailand. this place nails it, fantastic atmosphere, incredible service and the price is incredible. we missed the starter and main for £8 offer, but still finished ordering: 5 starter 4 net 8 drinks and the bill was still just £64. incredible value for money. this is the Thai spot in leeds, ignore everything else and bring them to mami thai.

When you enter this restaurant you are transported to a Thailand. The decor is intentionally rustic with distinct Thai vibes. The second thing that hits you is the pungent fish sauce... Which if you don't like Thai food is not really for you. The food here doesn't disappoint, it is absolutely jam packed with flavour and great fun to eat. I will go again and recommend for anyone.
