Bidra med feedbackThis Sunday roast was the worst I have ever had. The "giant" Yorkshire pudding, which cost an extra £2, was small and caused the portion of food to be even smaller as they tried to cram the entire roast inside it. The roast potatoes were new potatoes, the mash was watery and lumpy, the beef and turkey were dry, the red cabbage was overly sweet, and the Yorkshire pudding was burnt on top and raw on the bottom. I usually don't write reviews, but after paying £17 for a meal that I could have made better myself, I feel compelled to warn others not to bother visiting this restaurant.
Up in Burley area of Leeds for a few days. Popped in yesterday for a couple of beers, popped back in today for..... You've guessed it a couple of beers. The decor is nice, relaxing and not in your face. The beer, coming from London, was a decent pint and price. The young lady behind the bar both days was welcoming, friendly, intelligent and helpful. Will pop in again if in the area
A small pub offering a range of drinks and simple but tasty food. Staff were very friendly, made me feel very welcome. Service was efficient and polite. A friendly crowd was in for the weekly quiz. My first time in this part of Leeds (on business trip for 2 days), I enjoyed the evening, the quiz was fun. I imagine the pub might be quiet some of the time, so it was a pleasant evening among some folk who were out to enjoy themselves sensibly. I will return to the Fox and Newt next time I am in the area.
What kind of pub has a 10 pound minimum spend at the bar? Shocking kitchen service, food was awful and I've had the runs for the past 6 hours since I ate here. KITCHEN IS COMPRISED, FLIES ON THE WALLS ETC
Great Sunday lunch. Moved son into to university digs around the corner. Went to Sunday lunch there. We all had the roast beef Sunday lunch each at fourteen quid a pop. Massive and delicious. Well worth every penny.
