My favorite was The Rising Bun. We also tried the Asian pear salad and the Cauliflower side that were just okay. The Mango wafer ice dessert was also really delicious. We like to try something unique and delicious and have now been twice.
Excellent excellent excellent! Skip whatever dinner plans you may have had—this is the spot. I’ve had steamed buns all across the west coast, and this is better than all of them! The flavors are deep, rich, and unique. The price is just right and the portions are excellent. Will come back again!
You would think that the place would be more Japanese judging by the name, but it’s more Chinese-Vietnamese than anything else. The steam buns and banh mi that we ordered were good. The beef short rib was the most flavorful and our favorite. The pork belly was very juicy and tender but the flavor was underwhelming, especially after the beef short rib. The Hong Kong-style waffle and ice cream was not great in my opinion, the waffle was not as soft as I would have liked. They have “misfortune” cookies that are very funny.
OMG. Okay, I have been waiting for this place to open for months and it finally did! I am also quite pleased that it exceeded the hype! We tried quite a variety from the menu and I loved everything. My favorites were the Rising Bun steamed bun, the comrade fries and the amazing hong-kong style waffle with ice cream. Everything was super fresh and delicious, the design is on point and the customer service is the best. I am so happy to have a new place for lunch that's so close. I will definitely be back again and again.
I really enjoyed this restaurant! Since it was our first visit, we decided to sample a variety of dishes. The crack poke bowl was incredibly delicious, though the portion size was a bit small—it definitely made up for it in flavor. The purple potato noodle salad was fresh and light, and I found it delightful. The Brötchen were absolutely heavenly—hands down my favorite dish of the night. The Shoyu wheels were tasty as well; my wife loved them! I thought they were good, but they didn't quite measure up to some other places we've tried. The crispy cauliflower was impressive too. Overall, Lehi has really stepped up its food scene, and this place is a fantastic addition. I highly recommend giving it a try!
